What kinds of things is there to do? Vanilla ice museum? Sun tan lotion exhibitions? cocaine boat shows?
I heard there is a small theme park that needs our support called Disknee World (might be spelled wrong) but other than that any suggestions would be much appreciated

Watch out for batshit babes. They draw you in with their babe parts, then get you with their batshittiness.

When I went to Florida, I visited Epcot in Disney World in Orlando, and the Kennedy Space Center. If you want to drive an exotic, Disney World has a track with Stock cars and Supercars. I got a ride in an R8, as my pockets were fairly empty by the time I got there.

I'm interested to see what kind of responses you get.
I have to go to Florida in about 2 months, and I already regret it. It's not even the fancy Florida that Miami Vice lead me to believe was amazing. Full of hot chicks in weird bathing suits, and high rollers gambling on Jai Alai. No, I have to go to FloraBama.
Full of mullets and fat dudes in weird bathing suits. Maybe I'll get lucky and hit it on spring break. But I doubt it.

When are you going? I'm going to Daytona in June

http://www.fantasyofflight.com/ This place is 40 minutes or so from "Orlando-ish" off I-4. I have never been, but have been meaning to go for a long time. I heard it's pretty awesome.
If you're north of Orlando, Wekiwa Springs State Park is pretty neat.
Daytona Beach and Cocoa Beach are pretty sketchy.
Lots of good golf in Orlando.
Some good non-touristy dining/drinking places in Winter Park.
If you make it to the west coast, go to Caladesi Island State Park in Clearwater, one of the best beaches anywhere. Accessible by ferry from Honeymoon Island State Park.
All depends on what you're interested in and how far you're willing to travel.

Going to Orlando?
I can recommend those two items for Orlando. Of the theme parks, Universal is probably the best, and depending on your feelings regarding modular building materials, LEGOLAND is quite good. If you've never done Disney before, it's not bad, but I prefer Epcot.
Daytona is a bit of a drive, but it has a rather good museum and tour (check ahead though, they are currently building out there, and I'm not sure if it's open). Canaveral isn't far either; NASA is very good, and Canaveral national seashore is almost never crowded. St. Augustine has some cool old forts.
On the other Coast, Tampa has Busch Gardens (not bad) and the Tampa/St. Pete areas has a thriving Craft Beer scene.
Sebring is to the south, but I don't know if testing/practice for the 12 Hour is ongoing or not.
Enjoy. FL gets a lot of flak for crazy people and retirees, but there is some good here.
